I have had an Etsy shop since last August and I have had a few sales on it. Recently I decided that I wanted to put a bit of effort into it.
When I started Etsy last year, I was doing it for my 21 things project. I was kind of naive and thought that once I put an item up it would be a couple of days and then I would've sold something. I know it sounds stupid and is an insult to the people on Etsy who have worked so hard to create business on there.
My first sale came 3 months after I first opened my store, it came as a total surprise. I had actually forgotten that I still had things for sale. The first thing I knew about the sale was the money going into my Paypal account. There is such a buzz when you get your first sale, well any sale actually. The next couple of sales came in a couple of months later. And then nothing.
I was too bothered really by the nothing, I sold one print and that was all that I had wanted.
Then a month or so ago I had another idea for prints. I decided this time I would actually put some effort into my shop. I ventured into the forums and found so much information. It really is a little community that I had no idea about. I'm really excited to put some time and effort into my shop and see where it goes!

My plan is to do regular bog posts to document my Etsy adventure, I wonder where it might lead me...
